Orchard House Dental Practice, Headcorn, Kent

Orchard House Dental Practice was first established in the 1960s by Dr Steven Jeffery, who ran the practice single-handedly for over thirty years until his retirement in 1998. Under the ownership of Dr Colette O’Sullivan, the practice continued to grow, earning a respected reputation within Kent for quality care and genuine warmth.

In 2026, a new chapter began. Dr Sejal Chauhan and Dr Ankit Patel, a husband-and-wife team united by a shared passion for dentistry, took over Orchard House. Together, they bring a vision rooted in clinical excellence, positive energy, and an unwavering commitment to the highest standard of patient care.

Their approach is simple: deliver exceptional dentistry in a setting that feels like family. From the moment you walk through the door, you’ll feel the warmth. Every detail, from the way you’re greeted to the care you receive in the chair, is shaped by a belief that outstanding dental care and a personal, welcoming experience should never be at odds. At Orchard House, they go hand in hand.

Awards and Recognition

The practice works hard to improve and develop the quality and service of its staff. This was recognised in July 2000 when the practice was awarded the full ‘Investor in People award.

In December 2001, the Practice was recognised as fulfilling the criteria necessary to meet the British Dental Association (BDA) Good Practice award and has been re-evaluated as such each year since.

At the start of 2008, we were accredited with Silver Status in recognition of our holding the Good Practice award since its inception. In December 2010 we got GOLD status. We are one of the first practices in Kent, or indeed in the UK, to achieve this.



The Practice

There is one ground floor and three upstairs surgeries at the practice. Those patients with mobility difficulties should inform the receptionist of this, as we have step free side door access.

When necessary patients are referred for Orthodontic work or for treatment requiring a general anaesthetic or sedation.

We view ourselves as a family-orientated general dental practice. We see patients from a few months old to over 100.
